Chelsea Star Reveals Transfer Interest From Manchester United

Chelsea attacker Willian has revealed Jose Mourinho tried to sign him during the last summer transfer window.

The Brazilian star was part of the Blues’ squad that won the Premier League in the 2014/15 season under Jose Mourinho but fumbled last season which led to the Portuguese’s sack in December, 2015. Despite Chelsea’s poor form during that period, Willian kept putting in brilliant performances to help them salvage their situation and Mourinho tried to reward him with a move when he took over at the Old Trafford last summer.
The 28-year-old told Globo Esporte: ‘Concrete I do not know. But there was interest, yes.

‘From Manchester United, because Mourinho is there too.

‘From other clubs I do not know, but there are always some things on the internet.

‘But I’m glad to hear that there are clubs that admire my work.

Willian has not been able to nail a starting place in Antonio Conte’s side due to the impressive form of the Eden Hazard and Pedro in their 3-4-3 formation
